Dear Commission Members,
It is with great regret that I must inform you of a change to our Annual Business Meeting scheduled to occur in Milwaukee from September 14-16 of this year. After careful consultation with the Executive Committee, we have decided to cancel the in-person ABM. This is not a decision we took lightly; however, we must balance our obligations with our concern for the health and well-being of our members. Accordingly, with uncertainties around travel restrictions and the ongoing impact of COVID-19 in your respective jurisdictions, the Executive Committee decided an in-person business meeting presented an unnecessary risk. Despite this decision, our duties and Compact obligations continue. With that in mind, the Committee also voted to change the format of this year’s ABM to an online program.
From around the country, we will gather this fall to conduct business, participate in training and network with our colleagues through a virtual meeting platform. In the coming months, we will share with you how we will provide the content you expect from an ICAOS Annual Business Meeting.
Moving forward, we eagerly anticipate working with you as we embark on a new opportunity to engage commissioners, deputy compact administrators, and other members of your staff. Until then, stay safe and well.
