Probation officers face a multitude of challenges, both personally and professionally. While working tirelessly to support and monitor, and the feeling of doing more with less, officers are dealing with more than ever before. Coupled with the impact of exposure to trauma, this calling can both feel purposeful and taxing. This workshop acknowledges those very real stressors but also provides valuable insight and strategies to increase personal morale, well-being, and a mindset of grit through resiliency tactics.

Hilton Norfolk The Main is located at 100 East Main Street in Norfolk, Virginia. This premier hotel offers an indoor pool, fitness center, business center, and three on-site restaurants. Attendees will have convenient access to popular Norfolk attractions such as the Chrysler Museum of Art and the USS Wisconsin, as well as plenty of waterside entertainment options. Please note that hotel reservations must be made by August 11, 2023, to guarantee the meeting rate and availability.
As you prepare to travel to Norfolk for the Annual Business Meeting, there are a few important things to keep in mind to make the most of your trip. You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements, including arranging ground transportation options such as taxis, Uber, and Lyft services averaging $35 each way. Please book your flight at least 21 days in advance to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience and to stay within the $650 limit for flight reimbursement. The airport closest to the hotel is Norfolk International Airport. If you intend to drive to Norfolk, mileage will be reimbursed at the rate of $0.655 per mile.
The Commission will reimburse Commissioner, Ex-officio members, and one Deputy Compact Administrator from each state for attending this meeting in accordance with the ICAOS Travel Reimbursement Policy.
To help you plan for travel-related expenses, be sure to reference the ICAOS travel policy, which specifies a daily per diem limit. The daily per diem in Norfolk is $59, broken down as follows:

Who will/can be reimbursed?
The Commission will reimburse Commissioner/Official designees, Ex-officio members, and two Deputy Compact Administrators from bifurcated or one Deputy Compact Administrator from non-bifurcated (in ICOTS) states for attending this meeting in accordance with the ICAOS Travel Reimbursement Policy. Additional state representatives may attend this public meeting at their own expense. All attendees must register for the meeting.
What does it take to receive my reimbursement for the day?
All paid attendees must-attend events they registered for the day to be reimbursed for the day.
What if I need/want to come early or stay after?
